Brand names

The brand name I like and would like to analyze is Nivea.
Nivea is a global skin- and body-care brand, owned by the German company Beiersdorf.
1. I think there is a connection between the product and name. The first box was an art nouveau design, matching the typical image of women – fragile, ethereal, delicate. After the first World War the company logo became that we know today, with white letters and the box became the famous blue box.
2. Nivea is an international brand. Nivea comes from the Latin word niveus/nivea/niveum, meaning "snow-white". The name can not be translated into Romanian.
3. Many consumers don’t know the meaning of the name, but more people use this product, because is an international brand. For them it is a high quality product with affordable prices.
4. My opinion is that is not necessary to introduce a new product in the market because is a large stale of product between the people can choose.
